One of the claims often made by Clintoon camp is that \u201cthe \u2018Nice Lady\u2019 of Benghazi\u201d would put her husband in charge of economic matters.\u00a0 After all:\u00a0 he \u201cknows how to fix the economy\u201d.\u00a0 Just look at how good things were while he was in office!<\/p>\n
Well, as they might say where I\u2019m writing this article:\u00a0 quelle merde<\/em>.\u00a0 The folks over at FiveThirtyEight.Com did an article the other day which thoroughly debunks that bogus claim<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n BLUF:\u00a0 Willie \u201cIntern and Cigar Connoisseur\u201d Clintoon simply got lucky.\u00a0 His Administration had very little to do with the good economic times during the 1990s.\u00a0 Further, policies begun under his Administration are at least partly responsible (if not the major cause) for the mid-2000s real estate “bubble burst” and the late 2000s recession.<\/p>\n The article is IMO worthwhile reading.\u00a0 And the info it contains might well be useful if you want to throw a bucket of cold-water reality on any overheated Clintoon supporter who brings up that \u201che knows how to fix the economy\u201d canard.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
