He earned himself a broken leg and a police escort to the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>In <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bakersfield.com\/news\/breaking-news\/2016\/05\/18\/store-clerk-opens-fire-at-robbery-suspects.html\">Bakersfield, California<\/a>, two thieves tried to rob a clerk in a convenience store at gun point. The clerk, however, had his own gun and fired first.
