Someone sent us their work on this Charles Domm<\/a> guy from Baltimore. He likes wearing stuff with Special Forces patches and tabs on it. He does interviews with the media that highlight that part of his service. Like this one from Highlands Today<\/a>;<\/p>\n

He doesn’t say that he was in Vietnam, but then there’s this picture in an article that gives that impression, reading a letter from home;<\/p>\n

Well he did spend almost three years in the Army, February 1966 – December 1968. He did spend a few months in Special Forces Training, but it doesn’t look like he graduated, because he went from training group to C Co. 2\/504th Infantry (82d Airborne Division) after six months in the school. He left the Army as a Specialist (E-4). It looks like he made E-4 twice;<\/p>\n

There is nothing to be ashamed of for dropping out of special forces training. How’s that song go? “One hundred men will test today….” However there is something shameful about pretending to be something you’re not.<\/p>\n
