Allan Turner tried to break into one house in Topeka, Kansas<\/a>. When that didn’t work, he went a block or so away to another residence where the homeowner promptly shot him when Turner met with some success entering that home. Mr Turner is recovering at the hospital with an officer standing by to arrest him when the doctors are done patching up his new orifices.<\/p>\n

An off-duty Milwaukee, Wisconsin<\/a> police lieutenant confronted a 25-year-old thief who was trying to rob a beauty supply store. He fired several shots at the thief who un-assed the AO at a high rate of speed, but not fast enough to outrun the long arm of the law.<\/p>\n

William Smith broke into a home in Memphis, Tennessee<\/a>. The woman who lived there took immediate action and fired at Billy a couple of times. Not expecting that, Smith went to another home and broke a car window before police could roll up on him and take him to his new quarters. He was uninjured from the gunfire, but the woman was unharmed, too.<\/p>\n

In Harris County, Texas<\/a>, a homeowner caught a thief trying to steal his pickup truck. Seeing something in the thief’s hands, the home owner feared for his life and shot the criminal. The thief took off running but he didn’t get far. The police found him in a ditch in a neighbor’s yard.
