Back in January, we talked abut Leslie Wayne Frazier<\/a>, a counselor in Corbin, Kentucky who was fond of telling his patients, some of whom were veterans, that he spent months in captivity after he was shot down over Vietnam and then escaped from the North Vietnamese leaving a trail of death and destruction behind him to the US lines. <\/p>\n

Actually, he was an Air Force Inventory Management Specialist in the final years of the Vietnam War, and he’d never left the Continental US. <\/p>\n

Well, when we wrote about him, he went to the Corbin News Journal<\/a> to tell them that, no, he had never claimed those things. <\/p>\n

Corbin therapist defends against Internet criticism<\/strong><\/p>\n

A Corbin therapist said he is proud of his service in the U.S. Air Force at the end of the Vietnam War, but is defending himself against accusations from an Internet website dedicated to combat veterans that he has made bogus claims to have served in combat or was even deployed overseas.<\/p>\n

Corbin native Leslie Wayne Frazier, a counselor at Your Next Step, said he served in the Air Force between 1971 and 1973, rising to the rank of sergeant before he was honorably discharged.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

We had two witnesses who were patients of his who told us about his tales of derring-do. <\/p>\n

Well, today we get news that the state of Kentucky is investigating him (Kentucky Board of Licensed Professional Counselors, Complaint # 2016-02).
