<\/a><\/center><\/p>\nAbout two years ago we wrote about Anthony Magsam<\/a> who was pretending to be a Marine Corps Gunnery Sergeant and an Iraq War veteran in Philadelphia. He wore a pretty little motorcycle vest with a Combat Infantryman Badge and a Bronze Star, but the NPRC says that he had no service;<\/p>\n He had been a Philly cop until it was discovered that he stole weapons parts<\/a> from the police department. He was subsequently fired, but otherwise, unpunished. Hack Stone sends us the news that he was finally arrested yesterday<\/a>, after about seven years since the theft was discovered.<\/p>\n Anthony Magsam’s arrest on charges of theft, receiving stolen property, and obstruction of administrative law came one week after his former commander, Lt. Vincent J. Testa, committed suicide prior to a scheduled meeting with prosecutors about the case.<\/p>\n Magsam, 35, was released from custody Wednesday following an arraignment. Attempts to reach him for comment late Wednesday were not successful. No lawyer was listed on his initial charging document.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Magsam doesn’t like the picture at the top of this post – he complained to a previous service provider that it was copyrighted so we lost the blog for a day while our lawyers straightened the problem out with the provider.
