Someone sent us their work on this fellow, Bobbie Glen Davis, who is a commissioner on the Board of Montrose County, Colorado Commissioners. For some reason, during a meeting of the board last August, he decided to tell the assemblage that he was some sort of secret squirrel in Vietnam “when only the French and intelligence were there”. He also claimed that he was in Thailand. The implication was that he was some sort of Jason Bourne dude. Here’s the minutes of that meeting and his entirely inappropriate comments;<\/p>\n

I don’t know how that proved his patriotism and his support for veterans, but he’s a politician, so there’s no accounting for what he was thinking at the moment. <\/p>\n

In his bio at the board’s website<\/a>, he mumbles something about Top Secret Clearances and how he was on Presidential detail at Bergstrom Air Force base in Austin, Texas;<\/p>\n

Well, the National Personnel records Center, doesn’t think that he was in Vietnam or Thailand or in intelligence. They say he was an Air Force taxi driver;<\/p>\n

He had a perfectly honorable career as a taxi driver in Korea, Louisiana, South Carolina and Texas, but not a secret squirrel in Vietnam and Thailand. Who knows maybe the secret code word for Presidential Detail in the Air Force is “Driver’s School Instructor”.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
