I guess this time I should be somewhat flattered.\u00a0 They seem to have returned to form for now.\u00a0 They appear once again to be using the DRC\/DRG equivalent of a Ouija board – e.g., sitting around looking at pictures of true “high-speed\/low-drag” badasses while fapping furiously, all the while trying to figure out who I am – and then somehow decide that one of the photos must be me.\u00a0 Then they claim that’s who I am.<\/p>\n
This time, according to some \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 Gee.\u00a0 That\u2019s a nice thought, you \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Unfortunately, yeah – that\u2019s wrong.\u00a0 I can categorically assure you I am not a retired SF officer.\u00a0 So once again, you DRC\/DRG\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 For at least the twelfth freaking time<\/b><\/em>.<\/p>\n Hell, you’ve probably actually made a baker\u2019s dozen or more such screw-ups trying to find me by now. \u00a0 Dunno for sure, but I\u2019m relatively certain I\u2019ve missed at least one occasion where you misidentified some guy I\u2019ve never even met as being me.<\/p>\n Obligatory recap time:\u00a0\u00a0 this \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Now this time, they claim I\u2019m a retired Army SF officer.<\/p>\n (sigh) Geez.\u00a0 Best I can tell I\u2019ve never even met<\/em> any of the folks they\u2019ve identified as being me. And I just checked the name on my driver\u2019s license and other ID cards, so yeah: while being a retired SF officer would be great, I\u2019m pretty damn sure they\u2019re wrong this time too.<\/p>\n Sorry, DRC\/DRG \u2013 no dice. Ya blew it again. Yer still battin\u2019 “oh-fer”.<\/p>\n Sheesh.\u00a0 These guys really<\/u> seem to be “stuck on stupid”.\u00a0 Maybe they just like it there.<\/p>\n Or maybe Jethro Tull simply had them pegged 40+ years ago:<\/p>\n <\/p>\nDumb and Really Grotesque<\/del> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 “Dandy, Really Great” folks (or at least one such “inDUHvidual”) I\u2019m a retired Army SF officer.\u00a0 I\u2019ll spare the guy they’ve misidentified as me embarrassment he doesn\u2019t need and not mention his name here.<\/p>\nbunch of clueless jerks<\/del>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 guys; and it really is a compliment.\u00a0 The men who make SF a career are among the best our military has; they truly are the “quiet professionals”.\u00a0 Being thought one of them is an honor, even when that claim turns out not to be correct.<\/p>\nclowns<\/del>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 “fine fellows” have fornicated Fido (AKA “screwed the pooch”).\u00a0 Blown it.\u00a0 Effed up.\u00a0 However you want to put it, you got it wrong<\/u><\/em>. Yet again.<\/p>\nincredibly dense bozo (or group of bozos)<\/del> \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 fine fellow (or group of fellows) has now erroneously identified five different<\/u> Navy vets as being me – including 4 ex-SEALs (first SCPO Don Shipley<\/a><\/em>, then CAPT Larry Baily<\/a><\/em>, then a guy I\u2019m intentionally not naming<\/a><\/em>, and lastly MCPO Hershel Davis<\/a><\/em>).\u00a0 I\u2019ve also been mistakenly-identified as a retired Navy diver (late 2015; I was kinda busy at the time and didn\u2019t write about that one).\u00a0 Another time, I was accused of being a longtime commenter here at TAH<\/em><\/a>.\u00a0 They\u2019ve wrongly claimed I was a a multi-star Army GO, now unfortunately deceased.\u00a0 According to them, I\u2019ve been “identified” as a retired SF SGM<\/a><\/em>; I\u2019ve also been misidentified as a serving Army officer<\/a><\/em>.\u00a0 The time before last they falsely claimed I was an Army vet who served during the Eisenhower Administration<\/a><\/em> (and who is also a former Brooklyn Law School Professor).\u00a0 And, last time, I was supposedly a guy in Indiana<\/a><\/em> who writes an occasional sports column for a paper there.<\/p>\n
