Our friends at Green Beret Posers Exposed <\/a>sent us their work on this fellow Arnon Cool<\/a>, known to his friends as “Sonny”. You can tell from the picture above, he thinks a lot of his career. He claims to be a Special Forces Soldier, a Ranger, he claims that he served in Korea and Vietnam as an infantry soldier – that he ran away from home and joined the Army at 14 years old, joined the 187th in Korea. That he earned two Purple Hearts, at least two Bronze Star Medals, every kind of wings that the Army offers. <\/p>\n

I know it’s a little hard to read, but he joined the Air Force in 1952 until 1962 as a missile electronics repair guy and then he enlisted in the Army in 1962 as a military policeman and he retired in 1973. He did go to Vietnam from January 1969 – January 1970 – a pretty tough year for the troops. He was assigned to an MP company in the 1st Infantry Division – so no Combat Infantry Badge, let alone two. No jump school, no Ranger, no Special Forces, no Pathfinder, no HALO. I think the FOIA says that he was a platoon sergeant (E-7) when he left the service, not a master sergeant. For you youngsters, Platoon Sergeant used to be a rank, it was the same as a Sergeant First Class, same pay, same rank on the uniform, but it was a different title. Like the difference between a Master Sergeant and a First Sergeant.<\/p>\n
