Someone sent us their work on this fellow, Reginald Jeffrey Daley<\/a>. He claims that he worked in Vietnam for two tours with Special Forces. Daley writes about his experiences in Vietnam on Rally Point<\/a><\/p>\n

As it turns out, he was in Vietnam and he went there from Germany, but not Bad Tolz where 10th SF Group was at the time. He was a mortarman in the 19th Infantry in the 3rd Division, for almost two years, then he went to Vietnam in January 1966, not with MACV or Special Forces but with the 188th Ordnance Company, which provided ammunition support to the Central Highlands. That explains why an infantryman in Vietnam didn’t earn the CIB. he left Vietnam in October 1966 – then he was discharged;<\/p>\n

No jump wings, no Combat Infantryman Badge, no Purple Heart. He had three years of active service, not the nine that he claims.
