State ID cards from those states don&#8217;t conform to REAL ID Act standards, according to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/2016\/01\/21\/dod-bases-no-longer-accepting-drivers-licenses-from-5-states-as-id.html?intcmp=hpbt3\">Fox News<\/a>;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The legislation was meant to tighten standards for government-issued IDs \u2013 like driver\u2019s licenses \u2013 and banned federal agencies from accepting IDs that don\u2019t measure up.<\/p>\n<p>Washington D.C. delayed full implementation for years, but the Department of Homeland Security is now pressuring states into compliance.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, DHS is only enforcing the legislation for access to military bases, most federal facilities and nuclear power plants &#8212; but will eventually extend the ID requirements for air travel as well.
