<\/a><\/center><\/p>\nA pretend bomb was found in the lavatory of an Air France aircraft on a routine passenger flight from Mauritius to Paris. It was forced to land in the Kenyan city of Mombasa according to CBS News<\/a>;<\/p>\n Frederic Gagey, the head of the airline, said the device was made of cardboard, paper and a household timer, and had been found in a little cupboard that is behind a mirror.<\/p>\n In a news conference in Paris, Gagey congratulated the crew for their cool-headed reaction to divert the plane.<\/p>\n He insisted “this object did not contain explosives.” <\/p><\/blockquote>\n Air France official claim that the aircraft had been searched before passengers were seated so the device had to be planted after the flight left the gate. Of course, it could have been a clock for all we know. The Boeing 747 had 459 passengers and 14 crew members aboard when it was diverted.<\/p>\n UPDATE:<\/strong> According to Associated Press<\/a>, a retired French police officer has been arrested. A police dog tracked him down. He was arrested when he touched down in Paris, but he had been on the flight when it was grounded in Kenya.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
