<\/a><\/center><\/p>\nA few weeks ago, the NYPD and the LAPD called for Americans to boycott Quentin Tarantino and his films for his cop-hating remarks at an anti-police gathering in New York City last month. Looking at his filmography, I’m way ahead of the curve. I’ve started to watch some of his movies, but I found something more productive in engage myself with soon after I started watching – the Tarantino archives is pretty much crap, in my opinion. But, anyway, at the rally he said<\/a>;<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m a human being with a conscience,\u201d Tarantino said at the rally. \u201cAnd when I see murder I cannot stand by. And I have to call the murdered the murdered and I have to call the murderers the murderers.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n With a new film coming out this month, Tarantino has back-tracked on his comments, but today, we hear how he has been pumping up his creds for the last few decades by telling folks that he was afraid of the cops in LA because they were constantly tossing him in jail for traffic infractions. Well the New York Post<\/a> says that the LA County police deny that he has ever spent a day in their jails;<\/p>\n \u201cA check of Los Angeles County Sheriff\u2019s Department jail records revealed no evidence that Mr. Tarantino was ever incarcerated in our jail system,\u201d said Capt. Christopher Reed of the Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n Tarantino used to tell the story as evidence of his outlaw bona fides. But on a recent episode of \u201cReal Time with Bill Maher,\u201d Tarantino, now 52, recounted it again to claim solidarity with police protesters \u2014 that he understands what it means to be frightened of cops.<\/p>\n \u201cBack when I was in my 20s and broke, I was a little scared of the cops, all right?\u201d Tarantino told \u00adMaher. \u201cAnd oftentimes, I had warrants out on me for traffic stuff that I never took care of and everything .?.?. I\u2019d get stopped, and I\u2019d have to do eight days in county jail.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Even his stories are weak. The closest he came to jail was in 2000 when he was busted for driving without a license and he paid a fine of $871, including court costs, in lieu of eight days of jail time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
