He shot up his patrol car and crashed it before setting it on fire, claiming to the department that he had been attacked.<\/p>\n<p>Chip sends us a link to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/2015\/11\/27\/massachusetts-police-officer-accused-faking-shootout-making-hoax-bomb-threat\/?intcmp=hplnws\">Fox News<\/a> which reports that Johnson has killed himself instead of facing the music;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Johnson, a former part-time officer in Millis, Mass., was indicted Nov. 19 on six charges, including willful communication of a bomb threat to a school, making a false police report, malicious destruction of property and unlawful discharge of a firearm. He had pleaded not guilty in district court and was free on bail.<\/p>\n<p>The district attorney&#8217;s office said that in light of Johnson&#8217;s death, it no longer would pursue the case.
