Absolutely Predictable."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Remember that law passed in 2010? The one called the   \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">Patently Pollyannaish, Asinine ,Calamitous Abominaton<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, or PPACA &#8211; AKA &#8220;Obamacare&#8221;? That law that was supposed to make healthcare more \u201caffordable\u201d?<\/p>\n<p>Well, it seems there have been a few little hiccups along the way. Premiums haven\u2019t gone down. For most, they\u2019ve gone up \u2013 substantially.<\/p>\n<p>And it certainly looks like those Obamacare premiums might be about to get a lot more expensive.<\/p>\n<p>The nation\u2019s largest private health insurance company, UnitedHealth Group, is losing money on Obamacare. It\u2019s losing so much money that it recently told investors <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/nations-largest-insurer-may-exit-obamacare-due-to-losses\/article\/2576726\">it \u201cmay exit the program&#8217;s exchanges\u201d in the reasonably near future \u2013 as in as early as 2017<\/a><\/em>. Why? Because <u>they simply can\u2019t sustain their current losses on Obamacare<\/u>.<\/p>\n<p>Gee. Insurers are having trouble getting young, healthy folks to sign up \u2013 just as was predicted by Obamacare critics. The requirement to cover preexisting conditions is leading to large losses for insurers \u2013 just as was predicted by critics. Oh, and did I mention that several Federal programs intended to \u201cbackstop\u201d insurers (and thus limit their financial risk) end in 2017? That will also further limit choices and raise premiums \u2013 just as was predicted by critics.<\/p>\n<p>The bottom line: insurers are losing money on Obamacare \u2013 just as was predicted by critics. It doesn\u2019t take a rocket scientist to figure out what insurers are going to do under that scenario.<\/p>\n<p>Seems to me like the law is looking more and more each day like a SCoaMF \u2013 <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">just as was predicted by critics<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>But maybe that\u2019s just me.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Remember that law passed in 2010?
