Well, that won’t work here. According to KOAA<\/a>;<\/p>\n 35-year-old Andrew Myers, a victim who was fatally shot in Saturday’s shooting spree in downtown Colorado Springs, was a former Fort Carson soldier.<\/p>\n According to the Army, he enlisted in 2003. He served in the Army for ten years, and had several deployments in Iraq.<\/p>\n He received several awards in his time in the Army, including three Army Achievement Medals and three Army Good Conduct Medals. Myers’ highest rank was Sergeant.<\/p>\n In June 2013, he was administratively discharged as a Private.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n The shooter was killed by police officers, so we’ll be spared the spectacle of a trial.<\/p>\n As the investigation continues, the suspect’s motive remains unclear. News 5 uncovered some disturbing details that give a look into the gunman’s mind. He had started a blog online, expressing disappointment in his father, who was involved with a church in Redding, California.<\/p>\n In the post, he wrote, “You’re begging for it anyway, like spineless vegetables. People beg for the responsibility to be obliterated.”<\/p>\n In a statement, the suspect’s family said they are shocked and deeply saddened, and they expressed sympathy to the victims.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Yeah, given the irrational babble on his blog, it looks like the family shouldn’t have been all that shocked he was a sociopath, but, I guess we’ll see.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
