The ex-deputy \u2014 Linkee Israel Carrillo, 41 \u2014 also faces charges of falsely claiming to have earned a Purple Heart, a Bronze Star and other military honors and of tampering with a motor vehicle.<\/p>\n
The tampering charge is for firing multiple shots at the hood and windshield of his patrol car, causing more than $7,300 in damage, to back up his claim of being the target of a shooting in Reifsnider State Forest on Jan. 31. Tampering is a felony, and the other charges are misdemeanors.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
The sheriff’s department says that after it was determined that Carrillo had shot his patrol vehicle up, they started looking into his military claims and it turned out that he hadn’t been in combat, hadn’t been wounded and was never diagnosed with the magical and mystical PTSD. I’m sure that we’ll be hearing from Carrillo again and soon. Well, after he gets done with his jail time.<\/p>\n
