We begin with a story from Portland, Oregon<\/a> where a homeowner awoke to a burglar on top of him. The friendly burglar tried to kiss the homeowner on the mouth. The homeowner was able to escape the amorous advances and secured his handgun and fired at the fellow three times while the frightened criminal un-assed the AO. Police found him later when they got to the scene. The criminal told police that he was wounded, but a check of his nasty body revealed no wounds.<\/p>\n

There’s an update to our story last month from Dayton, Ohio where a woman waited for more than an hour for a response from the police before she finally shot the intruder herself. The 9-1-1 dispatcher was blamed for the delayed response in his mishandling of the notification of the uniformed officers on-duty that night. Regardless of whose fault it was, the young lady was lucky that she was armed.<\/p>\n

In Lubbock, Texas<\/a>, a burglar was discouraged by gunfire from a resident. As he un-assed the AO, he was prevented from doing so by another citizen. Looking at the mugshot at the link, it appears that 33-year-old Mark Cox had a rough day.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
