Well, it looks like one or more of those “fine individuals” that we all “know and love” have been\u00a0running their yaps. \u00a0Once again, some\u00a0Dorkish Royally Clueless\u00a0<\/em>tool has wrongly identified someone else as being me.<\/p>\n

And just like before, I\u2019m both honored and a bit peeved.<\/p>\n

Again.<\/p>\n

For at least the fifth freaking time.<\/p>\n

Apparently, someone out there has determined that\u00a0I am in reality Larry Bailey, former SEAL and CAPT, USN (Ret). Yes, THAT CAPT Larry Bailey<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n

Yeah, right. \u00a0GMAFB.<\/p>\n

Oh, don\u2019t get me wrong; that would be quite an honor. \u00a0Except . . .\u00a0it’s a load of bullsh!t. \u00a0It’s just\u00a0not true.<\/p>\n

To whoever is out there claiming I’m CAPT Bailey: \u00a0listen up.\u00a0 I\u2019ll make this simple for your benefit.<\/p>\n

  1. I\u2019m not a former SEAL. \u00a0I previously\u00a0made that fact quite clear, but hey – maybe you missed it the first time.<\/li>\n
  2. I was never in the Navy.<\/li>\n
  3. Other than a commercial boat ride or three, I have never been at sea. \u00a0And those commercial boat rides were littoral, not open ocean.<\/li>\n
  4. Best I can recall, I have never set foot on an active US Navy ship – though I have been to\u00a0more than one Naval installation over the years, and I did visit a museum ship that was once a USCG cutter.<\/li>\n
  5. I left the military many years after<\/span> CAPT Bailey did. \u00a0So I think he’s got a few years on me.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Given the above, even someone who’s a totally clueless fool should be able to figure out\u00a0that I can\u2019t\u00a0possibly\u00a0be CAPT Larry Bailey<\/span>. \u00a0That includes whoever is out\u00a0there spreading the false rumor\u00a0that CAPT Bailey and I are the same person.<\/p>\n

    Sheesh.\u00a0 Are you for real? \u00a0Do you have enough common sense to p!ss in the toilet vice the trash can when you use the bathroom?<\/p>\n

    Let’s recap here. \u00a0First, close to\u00a0two years ago supposedly I was a retired and relatively well-known Army GO (don’t I wish).\u00a0 Then\u00a0I was wrongly identified as being\u00a0The Hair himself,\u00a0Don Shipley<\/a>;\u00a0<\/em>I’m not, of course. \u00a0Or maybe I was supposed to be Don Shipley first, then the retired GO. Hell, those particular bogus claims were made approaching two years ago now, and the\u00a0claims\u00a0change so often it’s hard to keep them straight.<\/p>\n

    After that, I was allegedly a retired Special Forces Sergeant Major<\/a><\/em>. \u00a0Um, no. \u00a0 Not even close.<\/p>\n

    And a while\u00a0after that, purportedly I was\u00a0a serving\u00a0Army CPT<\/a><\/em> (or maybe by now MAJ) teaching ROTC. It would be nice to be that young again, but – no. \u00a0Incorrect.<\/p>\n

    That\u2019s only the four\u00a0I\u2019ve heard about and can think of off the top of my head. \u00a0My guess is there are a few other similar false identifications out there that I don\u2019t remember or just plain missed.<\/p>\n

    Give it up. \u00a0You\u2019ve been wrong every freaking time so far<\/u>. \u00a0This time around, supposedly I\u2019m CAPT Larry Bailey \u2013 and guess what?<\/p>\n

    You\u2019re wrong again<\/em>. \u00a0You’re still batting oh-fer-whatever. \u00a0And based on what I’ve seen, that ain’t going to change any time soon.<\/p>\n

    Still: \u00a0this\u00a0foolishness is getting old, and I’m getting kinda tired of it.\u00a0 Maybe I should<\/span> finally tell anyone who’s interested\u00a0precisely where to go if they want to see Hondo.<\/p>\n
