<\/a><\/center><\/p>\nA few weeks ago, we wrote about<\/a> the BOLO Florida issued for Thomas Hook, and it seems that he’s been found.<\/p>\n Steve sends us a link to Polk County Sheriff’s Department report<\/a> on this Thomas Hook fellow. Apparently, he was driving around in his fake police car and he offered to help a deputy with a traffic stop. The deputy declined his assistance, and Hook drove off with his fake cop car lights still flashing. As Hook drove off from the scene, another car pulled up to the deputy and identified themselves as members of the Highland\u2019s County Sheriff\u2019s Office and they explained that they had been following Hook to act on a warrant they had for his arrest for pretending to be a police officer. <\/p>\n Well, Hook came back to the traffic stop, still with his lights activated, and showed a badge to the deputy. Well, they rolled his ass up and did some research on Hook. He has a long history of pretending to be stuff. <\/p>\n From this 2010 article in Tampa<\/a>, he’d spent five months in prison for impersonating a Marine for several months in North Carolina. In Tampa, he was arrested for having a sheriff’s badge from Manatee County. He’d been arrested six times between 1987 and 1995 in South Carolina for impersonating a cop.<\/p>\n Oh, yeah, he’s sex offender, too. I guess he tried to force a woman to have sex with him using his faux-police creds. From the Polk County Sheriff’s link;<\/p>\n Hook presented the wallet with it open showing the badge and identified himself as a Fugitive Recovery Agent. There were multiple cards and identifications inside the wallet that identified him as a private investigator, a \u201claw enforcement detective,\u201d and membership to veteran\u2019s groups and as a member of the clergy. One of the cards identified him as a retired Major in the Marine Corps. Thomas\u2019s vehicle was equipped with a front push bar, emergency lights (red, blue, and white) in the front and rear windows, prisoner cage, caging over rear windows, spot light, and scanner. <\/p>\n When detectives asked Hook about the various identification cards, Hooks first said he was a licensed private investigator in South Carolina, then later recanted telling detectives he never claimed to be any of the things the cards indicated.
