{"id":61335,"date":"2015-08-11T10:26:03","date_gmt":"2015-08-11T14:26:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=61335"},"modified":"2015-08-11T10:26:03","modified_gmt":"2015-08-11T14:26:03","slug":"oathkeepers-not-helpful-in-ferguson-again","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=61335","title":{"rendered":"Oathkeepers not helpful in Ferguson&#8230;again"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><center><a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?attachment_id=61336\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-61336\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/OATH_KEEPERS-300x173.jpg\" alt=\"OATH_KEEPERS\" width=\"300\" height=\"173\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-61336\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/OATH_KEEPERS-300x173.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/OATH_KEEPERS-500x289.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/OATH_KEEPERS.jpg 878w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>The Ron Paulian refugees of Oathkeepers are back in Ferguson this summer, according to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/news\/2015\/aug\/11\/ferguson-protests-oath-keepers-heavily-armed-forme\/\">Washington Times<\/a> which mischaracterizes the organization;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The Oath Keepers organization said its members \u2014 all former military, police and first responders \u2014 pledged to \u201cdefend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic,\u201d NBC reported Tuesday. <\/p>\n<p>[&#8230;]<\/p>\n<p>Members of the group, mostly white males, were seen carrying assault rifles and side arms and wearing bulletproof vests and camouflage. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Yes, they are mostly white, much like the Ron Paul campaign rallies that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=2055\">I covered a few years ago<\/a>. But, they are NOT &#8220;all former military, police and first responders&#8221;. Most of them are AirSofter-like pretenders who will welcome any excuse to parade around in camouflage with loaded weapons in public. Many of them are not veterans, or they have spotty military records, some have spent time in military confinement facilities for being anti-social. As near as I can tell, Oathkeepers doesn&#8217;t verify the military service of their membership. I&#8217;m guessing its the same for their first-responder membership, as well.<\/p>\n<p>Our first encounter with the organization came when they were supporting Iraq Veterans Against the War. So much for keeping oaths &#8211; at the time IVAW was encouraging military members to refuse to their deployment orders. The Oathkeepers supported the candidacy of IVAW member Adam Kokesh when he ran as a Republican for a New Mexico congressional seat.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The group said they had come to protect a journalist from Infowars.com, The Daily Mail reported. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Crackpottery. The police have said that they don&#8217;t want the Oathkeepers there, but, you know, what the Oathkeepers want is more important than what their supposed brothers in uniform want.
