Back in January, we wrote about Bruce Allen Pendlay<\/a> who had pretended for decades to be a Special Forces soldier. Pendlay also claimed to be a combat infantryman who had been awarded several valor awards. In fact, he was actually a career felon with a brief military service of about three months in duration. Here’s his FOIA;<\/p>\n

Soon after we busted him, police found him parked along a desolate road with a gunshot wound to his chest. Pendlay told law enforcement that he had been attacked by an unknown assailant. Well, according to Ark City Net <\/a>, he turned himself into police yesterday facing charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm and interference with law enforcement because of his false report of a crime. <\/p>\n

If convicted of felony possession he could face up to 23 months in prison and a fine of up to $100,000 and 12 months of postrelease supervision.<\/p>\n

A conviction on the interference charge could mean up to one year in jail and a fine of up to $2,500.<\/p>\n

He later admitted that the gunshot had been self-inflicted and was part of a suicide attempt.<\/p>\n

This incident happened shortly after Pendlay was accused of stolen valor by the website \u201cThis Ain\u2019t Hell.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Of course, the world was supposed to think that I chased down Pendlay in my wheelchair and shot him, but that didn’t work out for him in the end. There were quite a few of us involved in outing Pendlay, including SF Poser Patrol, Scottie, Bulldog and JD at Professional Soldiers. <\/p>\n
