First Coast News<\/a> went back to John James Lavoie after the Florida Times-Union<\/a> called BS on his forged DD215 and JJ is sticking to his claims;<\/p>\n

“I did not forge no damn documents,” said Lavoie.<\/p>\n

The medals are not listed with his awards in his official personnel records from the National Archives, but two weeks ago Lavoie presented his DD214, his discharge papers, and his DD215, the form that shows correction to the DD 214.<\/p>\n

When asked where his documents were produced, Lavoie clammed up.<\/p>\n

“I ain’t telling,” said Lavoie.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The article says that lying about awards isn’t illegal if JJ doesn’t use the false medals for a profit – but, you see, if he forged government documents, all Stolen Valor Act bets are off – then it becomes falsifying government documents which is illegal.<\/p>\n

Lavoie is disgraced and embarrassed; he has removed his Marine Corps flags from around his home.<\/p>\n

“I don’t care about clearing my name,” said Lavoie. “They didn’t give a damn about screwing me.”<\/p>\n
