<\/a><\/center><\/p>\nBack in March<\/a>, we wrote about our buddy, Earl Galloway who made a parody Facebook page about valor thief, John Spodofora who pretended to be a Vietnam secret squirrel. Spodofora, now the mayor of Stafford Township, NJ, used the force of his police department to investigate the Facebook page and Mr. Galloway. So Galloway is suing because the police chief and mayor tried to intimidate him according to the Ashbury Park Press<\/a>.<\/p>\n Galloway alleges in the suit that Spodofora and [Police Chief Joseph] Giberson used the power of their respective public offices to intimidate him, violating Galloway’s constitutional right to free speech and his right to assemble. Galloway also alleges that the investigation jeopardized his civilian employment at Naval Weapons Station Earle in Monmouth County \u2014 after Stafford Police asked Naval criminal investigators for assistance \u2014 where Galloway’s security clearance is essential to his work. Galloway is also a retired Navy command master chief petty officer.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Well, the judge says that the case can go forward.<\/p>\n After the hearing, Galloway attorney Michael Ansell, of the law firm Ansell Grimm & Aaron of Woodland Park, said the next phase of the case will be discovery \u2014 a long period of fact-gathering and deposing witnesses.<\/p>\n Ansell said this case will mark the first time Spodofora will be compelled to answer detailed questions under oath about issues concerning his biography, particularly Spodofora’s service in the Navy from 1966 to 1973.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Funny how these phonies stick to their guns so long that it only gets worse for them, isn’t it?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
