According to Donohue, he&#8217;s also a major general, but not according to his mates;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Mr Donohue has been identified by former Army personnel as ex-corporal Neville McBryde Donohue from the Kilsyth area, who served in the Army from 1970-76 but never in operational areas.<\/p>\n<p>He denies any wrongdoing, and claimed to the \u00adHerald Sun earlier this year that he was in his 45th year of military service and service to associated paramilitary government groups.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI didn\u2019t earn my decorations in the normal fashion, as in day-to-day military service. I earned them in behind-the-scenes service,\u201d he said then.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>So, they have secret squirrels in Australia, too. Donohue has also told the court that he&#8217;s on &#8220;special military duty&#8221; and that precludes his appearance in court. He&#8217;s facing charges of deception, impersonating a public official and for defaulting on repayment of large loan.
