This morning’s story comes from Texas<\/a>;<\/p>\n

A homeowner opened fire on a would-be burglar attempting to break into his home in the 4400 block of Timbercreek.<\/p>\n

“You have to do what you have to do,” said a neighbor, who asked not to be identified.<\/p>\n

The homeowner told police he shot the burglar, who then hopped into a charcoal-colored Toyota Corolla with three other men and sped away. Police are attempting to track down the suspects.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Mark sends us another one from Georgia<\/a>, I guess it’s a bad idea to jump into cars there with the intention to car jack a citizen;<\/p>\n

Fannin says the man slipped into the passenger\u2019s seat when his doors automatically unlocked.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe told me, \u2018You know what this is,\u2019\u201d Fannin said. That is when Fannin says he pulled his gun out.<\/p>\n

\u201cI asked him to get out the car, probably not in those exact words,\u201d Fannin said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI told him no, there\u2019s no leaving, leaving was before you hopped into my car … at this point there is not leaving,\u201d Fannin said.<\/p>\n

The car owner kept the suspect, Edgar Horn, 61, at gunpoint face down in the parking lot for several minutes until police arrived.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou were not trying to rob me,\u201d Fannin said to the man on cellphone video of the incident. \u201cDo you just get into random people’s cars … you thought I was your friend \u2026 you thought I was your friend … so you woke up stupid this morning?\u201d<\/p>\n

When police arrived, you can see Fannin wave them over, and put his gun down. The police officer shakes his hand, before putting the suspect in handcuffs.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
