. . .<\/strong><\/p>\n Maybe it\u2019s a \u201cbit of the strange\u201d in my musical tastes, but I love this tune. It\u2019s originally from the Refreshment\u2019s two first releases: their self-released independent CD \u201cWheelie\u201d, and was repeated on their first major-label release, \u201cFizzy Fuzzy Big and Buzzy\u201d.<\/p>\n The song is more well-known by its title from the latter CD \u2013 it was retitled \u201cMexico\u201d. The original title was an acronym. It stood for \u201cBuffet On Bad Acid\u201d. I\u2019ve never tried that form of \u201cbetter living through chemistry\u201d, but from all accounts I\u2019ve heard of same I think the original title of the song was pretty close to the mark. (smile)<\/p>\n I\u2019m also pretty sure the song was also written tongue-in-cheek, given the rather satirical nature of much of the band\u2019s work. It didn\u2019t get much airplay, for reasons that should be obvious on first listen.\u00a0 Might want to use headphones if you listen when prudes or small children are within earshot.<\/p>\n Without further ado, here are both versions.<\/p>\n
