<\/a><\/center><\/p>\nAccording to the Washington Times<\/a>, Secretary of State John Kerry from the safety of Sri Lanka, told reporters that Yemen isn’t a failed state, you know, even though the Democratically elected president and his cabinet are hiding out in Saudi Arabia, with more than 1200 dead and another nearly 6000 casualties<\/a>, border clashes between the Saudis and Houthis<\/a>;<\/p>\n Kerry says the U.S. is working with the United Nations, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to start peace negotiations between Yemen\u2019s government and the Shiite rebels who\u2019ve conquered much of the country.<\/p>\n Kerry says if that happens, Yemen \u201chas the opportunity to hold itself together.\u201d<\/p>\n He says Yemen faces fuel, food and medicine shortages.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n So, other than the fact that there’s no central government, there’s no food, no fuel and the Saudis are bombing the country day and night…other than those things, it’s a pretty successful country.
