{"id":59295,"date":"2015-04-16T09:00:09","date_gmt":"2015-04-16T13:00:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=59295"},"modified":"2015-04-16T08:24:17","modified_gmt":"2015-04-16T12:24:17","slug":"guardsmen-arrested-for-selling-arms-to-feds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=59295","title":{"rendered":"Guardsmen arrested for selling arms to Feds"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One of our ninjas sends us a link to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.utsandiego.com\/news\/2015\/apr\/15\/army-reservists-arrested-in-gun-sale-scheme\/\">U-T San Diego<\/a> which reports that two California Guardsmen, Jaime Casillas and Andrew Reyes were arrested for selling weapons to an undercover agent working with a U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration task force who was pretending to be from the Mexican drug cartels;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Casillas sold the supposed cartel man 1,600 rounds of .223-caliber ammunition \u2013 later identified as U.S. military inventory \u2013 for $700, the affidavit states.<\/p>\n<p>In a second buy, Casillas sold the agent a .40-caliber pistol for $800 from his El Cajon mobile home, saying the gun had already been used to \u201cdo a job\u201d in Tijuana, the document says.<\/p>\n<p>About a month later, Reyes sold the agent an AK-47 for $1,700, authorities say.<\/p>\n<p>Several similar firearms sales followed over the next several months, including an AR-15 with a fake serial number, an expensive AR-15 with a mounted scope, hundreds of AR-15 ammunition magazines, and a .45 caliber pistol described as \u201chot,\u201d meaning it had been used in a crime or was stolen.
