Scotty sends<\/a> us his work on this fellow, Burl Casey Taylor<\/a> who claims that he was a Recon Marine in Vietnam and that he’s been in every conflict since Vietnam. According to the guys at SOCNET<\/a>, his claims have been all over the map, but the most egregious have been that he was drafted during the Vietnam War and that he retired as a Master Gunnery Sergeant. <\/p>\n

According to Scotty, Burl, here, was born in 1960, so, depending on when you’re listening to his stories, he was eight or ten years old when he went to Vietnam, which is totally plausible :eyeroll:. He did spend some time in the military, but he was a Multi-channel Equipment Operator in the Army and in the Marine Corps from 1979 – 1996; 6 years in the Army, 11 years in the Marines and he never heard a shot fired in anger;<\/p>\n
