Arthur Baldwin was arrested in DC on Friday for burglarizing a 23-year-old woman’s apartment. Baldwin was supposedly carrying a .357 caliber handgun. He was also carrying a badge because he was a member of the US Secret Service, according to Reuters<\/a>;<\/p>\n

The officer, Arthur Baldwin, was charged with destruction of property and burglary, said D.C. Metropolitan Police Department spokeswoman Gwendolyn Crump.<\/p>\n

Baldwin, 28, damaged the windows and back door of a 23-year-old woman’s apartment in Southeast Washington while off duty shortly after midnight, the police report said.<\/p>\n

The Washington Post reported that Baldwin’s ex-girlfriend lived in the apartment. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The report of this incident comes on the heels of the news that a Secret Service supervisor is being investigated for a sexual assault on a subordinate, according to UPI<\/a>;<\/p>\n

Two sources close to the investigation said in the Post report that Morales inappropriately grabbed the female subordinate March 31 following a party at a downtown restaurant. The incident was reported April 2 and several interviews were conducted that day, ABC News reported.<\/p>\n

The gathering at the restaurant celebrated Morales’ new assignment to head the agency’s field office in Louisville, Ky. He was scheduled to take the helm in Louisville this week. It’s not yet clear whether the investigation will affect that assignment.<\/p>\n

The unnamed female employee reportedly told investigators that Morales, who is married to a Secret Service agent, admitted at the restaurant that he had feelings for her and sought a sexual relationship. Morales’ advances supposedly turned physical when the two returned to the agency’s headquarters and the woman said she fended him off until he relented. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Washington Times<\/a> reports that the Attorney General had to send a memo to the entire Department of Justice last week to remind them that paying for sex is frowned upon in his department;<\/p>\n

Mr. Holder wrote in the letter, published Friday, that he \u201cwanted to reiterate to all Department personnel, including attorneys and law enforcement officers, that they are prohibited from soliciting, procuring, or accepting commercial sex,\u201d The Washington Post reported.<\/p>\n

He wrote that even in places where prostitution is legal, paying for sex creates a greater demand for human trafficking \u201cand a consequent increase in the number of minor and adult persons trafficked into commercial sex slavery.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The memo comes following an incident reported in the Washington Post<\/a> in which seven DEA agents were suspended from their jobs for renting affections in Colombia.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
