Jason Scaletta, aka Jason Grey, the director of Veterans Support Center of America PAWS<\/a> starred in one of our posts when some of his claims came to our attention late last year<\/a> – that he was a Special Forces\/Ranger trained bad ass who had jumped into Afghanistan soon after 9-11-2001. He also claimed that he had been wounded a few times and that he’d been awarded the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star Medal and a 3rd award of the Combat Infantry Badge. Of course, that last one is what attracted us to him – a third award of the CIB would have meant that he had been in the Korean War, which wasn’t actually possible. That led us to Maryland court records which proved that he was locked in judicial jousting during the time he claimed that he was fighting the war against terror in Afghanistan.<\/p>\n

Anyway, as soon as we published the story calling him out, we got legal threats from his organization, specifically George Mutter<\/a>. Scaletta had somehow convinced the Military Order of the Purple Heart that his medal was legitimate, and they rode to his defense. Soon after that, we were able to convince the MOPH otherwise which launched their own investigation of his claims.<\/p>\n

We heard earlier this week that Scaletta planned a huge media event unsealing a record of his service mailed to him from Fort Bragg with proof that we had been wrong about his lack of military service. He had invited Congressmen, the media and some other veteran organizations for the unveiling of his documentation.<\/p>\n

Those plans were cut short yesterday when Maryland police kicked in his front door and arrested him for illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition;<\/p>\n

When Maryland police had secured Mr. Scaletta, Federal officers entered the scene. It seems that Scaletta had, a few months ago, filed a claim with the Veterans’ Affairs Department using his phony DD214<\/a>, ostensibly to counter our proof against him. The law enforcement officers discovered more counterfeit DD214s inside his home and on his computers – it seems that someone at Fort Bragg, NC has been selling fake DD214s to phonies for hundreds of dollars each. The LEOs claim that these were the best fake DD214s that they had ever seen. That was what Scaletta had planned to unveil at his press conference today. <\/p>\n

It wouldn’t have worked anyway – folks at JFK Center and the Ranger Training Brigade had already confirmed that he had never attended training with their schools…and the 3rd award of his CIB was outside the realm of possibility. Court records, 61 instances, confirmed that he had abbreviated National Guard service between periods of incarceration in Maryland. So his little press conference would have fallen on it’s face anyway.<\/p>\n

At this time, the only record of his arrest yesterday is for the weapons charges, but we’re assured that more charges are pending, including Federal charges. <\/p>\n

If Scaletta had just conceded to us that, yes, he had lied, and yes, that he is sorry, it would have ended there. Instead, Scaletta doubled down with his lies and tried to salvage his phony story for his own selfish reasons. Now, look at what he brought down on his head.<\/p>\n

We also have evidence that George Mutter, Scaletta’s buddy at VSCOA PAWS, tried to conspire against us with the Dutch Rudder Club – and the world’s worst lawyer, Daniel Alan Bernath. Mutter also tried to get one of our friends in trouble at his Reserve unit when the fellow had nothing to do with the investigation.<\/p>\n

The lesson for phonies is this; when we bust you, you stay busted. We never back down, we don’t scare with threats of violence or legal jousting. Just admit that you lied, and stop doing it before your world turns into a big Scaletta. <\/p>\n

According to folks who we’ve talked to, the whole case, the illegal activities of this career criminal was exposed with that first post on TAH and directly resulted in his arrest.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
