A few weeks ago<\/a> we reported on the work of the Special Forces Poser Patrol<\/a> in regards to this Fred Meyling fellow. The Elks had honored him for his work with veterans and the amazing life that he has led in the military – well, it all turned out to be BS. And now Mr. Meyling has gone to forehead defilade, according to KRNV<\/a>;<\/p>\n

In Meyling’s case, a degree from a university that doesn’t even exist (U.C. Long Beach rather than Long Beach State) caught their attention. So did Meyling’s claim that he spent 9 1\/2 years in the military, including a role as a member of the Army’s elite Special Forces. <\/p>\n

But what really caught our attention is that not even Mr. Meyling wanted to talk about the big award he’d just received.<\/p>\n

We went to his home in Gardnerville and left several phone message for him, but Meyling never got back to us.<\/p>\n

As we continued asking questions, however, the Elks finally took action and rescinded Meyling’s award, calling it a mistake.<\/p>\n

And again, we have tried several times to reach Fred Meyling to get his side of things but he has not returned any of our calls since we began looking into this story.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
