No great surprise there.<\/p>\n<p>Specifically, they put together an AR-10 \u2013 the NATO 7.62mm version of the AR-15. Again, no big surprise there, either.<\/p>\n<p>However, precisely how they did it <em>was<\/em> a bit unusual. It seems they <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/tech\/2015\/03\/30\/powerful-3d-printed-rifle-fires-nato-rounds\/\">used a 3-D printer to produce the lower receiver<\/a>. (The remaining parts were stock.) And after assembling the weapon, the creator of the receiver claims to have fired over 100 rounds using it without visible signs of wear and tear.<\/p>\n<p>Yeah, that\u2019s a bit . . . different.<\/p>\n<p>Look for the calls for \u201cprinter control laws\u201d from your friendly neighborhood gun control advocates any day now.
