According to the New York Post<\/a>, this fellow, Peter Senese, pretended to be a Delta Force operator who could help them recover their kidnapped children, scamming at least one family out of tens of thousands of dollars;<\/p>\n

His first victim, identified only as \u201cV-1\u201d in court papers, turned to him after the parent\u2019s child was abducted in New York in November 2013 and taken to India.<\/p>\n

He promised he could reunite \u201cV-1\u201d with the child in two weeks with the help of an \u201cunidentified retired federal judge, unidentified teams of international lawyers\u201d and several Delta Force members, the criminal complaint said.<\/p>\n

Over the course of nine months, \u201cV-1\u201d gave Senese more than $30,000 \u2014 as well as other monthly payments of between $3,000 and $5,000 \u2014 as he led the victim on a wild-goose chase by texting them fake updates on his supposed rescue efforts in India.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are a go go go go go. They are to pick (Child-1) up in 11 hours. I am so extremely excited. I\u2019m quarterbacking everything right now at my end. 17 hours into Dubai, 30 hours into New York,\u201d Senese cruelly texted \u201cV-1\u201d on April 26, 2014.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

According to the article, he strung them along and drained their savings. Senese was arrested on Thursday and faces 20 years in jail. I hope it was worth it for him.<\/p>\n
