It’s been a busy day for the forces of good fighting evil. The first story is from Tennessee<\/a>; <\/p>\n

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department investigators said three men went to the door of a home on March Mill Road Saturday night and told the homeowner to put his hands in the air. The homeowner pulled a handgun and was shot in the right arm, but he also returned fire, authorities said.

A short time later, Madison County deputies responded to McDonald’s in Hazel Green for a gunshot victim. Madison and Lincoln investigators determined the shooting victim at McDonald’s, Dustin Elmer Hood was tied to the Lincoln County home invasion.<\/p>\n

Eric Wesley Atchley, 26, was arrested and is in the Madison County Metro Jail. Dustin Elmer Hood, who was hospitalized with a gunshot wound, will also be taken into custody after he is released, investigators said. Both will be charged with aggravated assault.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

One of the miscreants is still on the loose, so keep an eye out, Tennessee.<\/p>\n

Next is Missouri<\/a>;<\/p>\n

Upon arrival at the scene, deputies observed a male lying outside the residence. He was pronounced dead at the scene, as a result of gunshot wounds. The male later was identified by fingerprints as Ronald Lee Salmons Jr. age 45. Salmons resided at 13013 Dorsey Lane.<\/p>\n

According to witnesses at the scene, Salmons was armed with a knife and he had made forced entry into the residence located at 12945 Dorsey Lane, threatening the occupants inside. Salmons was then reportedly shot with a small caliber weapon, and retreated outside the residence where he collapsed.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Now from New Mexico<\/a>;<\/p>\n

After the shooting, a woman called 911 to report that her husband shot someone who was trying to break in. When police arrived at the home, they found a body lying next to a 6-inch knife.<\/p>\n

Police said the intruder was trying to gain access to the home and was shot after a brief struggle. They also said the intruder possibly caused a disturbance at a neighbor’s house down the street earlier in the evening.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
