According to court records, Giroux was sentenced in July 2007 to seven and half years in Arizona state prison after pleading guilty to attempted aggravated assault. Details of that case weren’t immediately known.<\/p>\n
He served a little more than six years in prison before being paroled in October 2013. But according to Maricopa County records, Giroux violated a condition of his release a year ago and was placed back on probation through October 2016.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
So, he’s another one who gun control didn’t work for – he is a felon and not allowed to own a gun or have one in his possession. That’s not much comfort to the grieving family, though, I’m sure. <\/p>\n
The shooting spree began at about 8:40 a.m. MT at the Tri-City Inn, where three people were shot \u2014 one of them fatally \u2014 after an argument, police said. The gunman then ran to a nearby restaurant, where one East Valley student was shot. He then stole a car \u2014 a gray Honda Accord \u2014 and attempted a pair of separate home invasions, where he shot two people, police said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
