{"id":58682,"date":"2015-03-11T08:00:56","date_gmt":"2015-03-11T12:00:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=58682"},"modified":"2015-03-10T15:26:27","modified_gmt":"2015-03-10T19:26:27","slug":"obama-white-house-abandons-bullet-ban","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=58682","title":{"rendered":"Obama White House abandons bullet ban"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thehill.com\/regulation\/pending-regs\/235216-atf-shelves-proposed-bullet-ban\">The Hill<\/a> reports that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives has withdrawn plans to ban the 5.56mm M885 &#8220;green tip&#8221; ammunition for the time being;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) said it will not seek to issue a final framework for the rule \u201cat this time\u201d after receiving more than 80,000 comments on the proposal, the \u201cvast majority\u201d of which were negative.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;You spoke, we listened,&#8221; the ATF tweeted.<\/p>\n<p>The National Rifle Association (NRA) and other gun-rights groups assailed the proposal, and were joined by Republicans in demanding that it be withdrawn.<\/p>\n<p>Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.), the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, said he is &#8220;pleased that the Obama administration has abandoned its attack on the Second Amendment.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I guess that whoever had invested in ammo manufacturers figured they had made enough, what with some sellers gouging gun owners of the popular AR-style rifles that fire that ammo which was still expensive from the last ammo scare early last year.
