John Spodofora<\/a> news which revolves around a parody Facebook page that Earl created in Spodofora’s name. Spodofora used his position as mayor of Stafford Township, NJ to get the local police and the Feds involved in the investigation. Of course, after wasting taxpayer dollars, the Law Enforcement agencies involved found that Galloway did nothing wrong.<\/p>\nIronically, that’s Spodofora’s defense, too. He claims that nothing he did in regards to lying to people that he’s a Vietnam veteran and a SEAL isn’t illegal. He’s right in that assessment, but it doesn’t mean that he did nothing wrong – he just didn’t break any laws.<\/p>\n
In the words of US Supreme Court Justice Kennedy, “Truth needs neither handcuffs nor a badge for its vindication.” It doesn’t have to be illegal to be a lie.<\/p>\n
