Another bit of Americana has passed into history.<\/p>\n

Leonard Nimoy has died<\/a>.\u00a0 He was 83.<\/p>\n

Nimoy is best known as Spock of Star Trek<\/em> fame (as if I really needed to tell anyone reading TAH that).\u00a0 However, he was a talented actor who worked extensively in his chosen profession both before and after that series which made him a household name.<\/p>\n

Nimoy was also a veteran.\u00a0 He served in the US Army from 1953 to 1955, attaining the rank of Sergeant.<\/p>\n

Rest in peace, Leonard Simon Nimoy.\u00a0 While it’s associated with you perhaps more than any other phrase, somehow “Live long and prosper” just doesn’t seem particularly apropos at present.<\/p>\n
