Old Trooper sent us this morning’s story which comes from Michigan <\/a>where an 11-year-old was home alone;<\/p>\n

[James Wasson, 53, of Detroit] knocked on all the doors and then forced entry into the residence, the Lapeer County Sheriff\u2019s Department said.<\/p>\n

The child hid in a bathroom closet with a shotgun, police said. The bathroom and the bathroom closet were eventually forced open by the suspect.<\/p>\n

The 11-year-old aimed the gun at the suspect and the suspect fled from the residence, police said, adding the child was not harmed during the incident.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The police found Wasson and Rhonda Steward, 31, his getaway driver and they’re in custody today. The Washington Times<\/a> says that the 11-year-old child was actually a little girl.<\/p>\n

From Chief Tango comes a story from Texas<\/a> where LTC Bateman’s question about why anyone shoudl take a gun to restaurant is answered once again.;<\/p>\n

Investigators said that a disturbance occurred inside the Mien Tay Quan restaurant, which was full of customers at the time.<\/p>\n

One of the men involved walked out to his vehicle and retrieved a handgun, deputies said. He then fired several times through the glass front door of the restaurant.<\/p>\n

That’s when one of those customers, Anthony Yet, who happens to be an investigator with the Harris County Attorney’s Office, pulled out his service gun, immediately took aim and shot the suspect right then and there.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And finally, from Georgia<\/a>, where an elderly woman was injured in a shoot-out with burglars;<\/p>\n

The homeowner told deputies she heard a noise and found two burglars inside her house.<\/p>\n

One of the burglars shot the woman three times. After getting shot, she managed to grab her gun and fire back, but the two got away.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a scary thing to know because my neighbors have been here a long time, and for the past six or seven years nothing has ever happened,\u201d said neighbor Dipali Faldu.<\/p>\n

Deputies don’t know if the homeowner shot one of the burglars. Deputies notified local medical staff to look for anyone wanting treatment for a gunshot wound.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
