{"id":57986,"date":"2015-01-31T11:57:58","date_gmt":"2015-01-31T16:57:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=57986"},"modified":"2015-01-31T12:25:34","modified_gmt":"2015-01-31T17:25:34","slug":"hr-378-responsible-body-armor-possession-act","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=57986","title":{"rendered":"HR 378; Responsible Body Armor Possession Act"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Flagwaver alerts us to the introduction of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/114th-congress\/house-bill\/378\/text\">House Resolution 378<\/a>, entitled the &#8220;Responsible Body Armor Possession Act&#8221; which makes possession of &#8220;enhanced&#8221; body armor that &#8220;the ballistic resistance of which meets or exceeds the ballistic performance of Type III armor&#8221; punishable by less than ten years imprisonment and a fine. Type III armor provides protection from 9mm Full Metal Jacketed bullets and .44 Magnum Semi-jacketed hollow point bullets that leave the muzzle of a weapon at about 1400 feet per second.<\/p>\n<p>The bill was introduced by <a href=\"http:\/\/honda.house.gov\/\">Congressman Mike Honda<\/a>, a California Democrat, of course. It&#8217;s supported by <a href=\"http:\/\/robinkelly.house.gov\/about\/full-biography\">Robin Kelly<\/a>, Illinois Democrat, Florida Democrat and impeached judge <a href=\"http:\/\/alceehastings.house.gov\/\">Alcee Hastings<\/a> and Illinois Democrat <a href=\"http:\/\/www.davis.house.gov\/\">Danny Davis<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I have to wonder why a group of Democrat Congressmen are so askeered of private citizens who can protect themselves from bullets that they want to attach a 10-year prison sentence to the possession of said body armor.
