<\/a><\/center><\/p>\nWe wrote about Angelo Otchy<\/a> about four and a half years ago when he accepted an honor for his pretend military service from his hometown. He has been booted from the Army, the Marines and the Navy and he said that the only reason he accepted the award was because he felt unappreciated for his service. So he made up a story about being blown up in a HMMV;<\/p>\n The 35-year-old Army veteran told a reporter that day about his three tours of duty in Iraq. Voice dropping to a near-hush, he spoke, too, about the buried bomb that ripped through his Humvee, injuring him and claiming the lives of three friends, one of them a soldier from Paterson.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m haunted by that day every day of my life,\u201d Otchy told The Star-Ledger.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n He comes back here every few months and threatens us for not taking down the post about him because he turned his life around and he doesn’t do that stuff anymore. Well, apparently, he doesn’t – he’s graduated to impersonating police officers, accordng to philly.com<\/a>;<\/p>\n Angelo Otchy, 39, pulled up next to a woman on the Atlantic City Expressway Jan. 13 and flashed a badge, according to a news release from the New Jersey State Police.<\/p>\n As he motioned for the female driver to pull over, she became afraid and called 911, police said.<\/p>\n Otchy, behind the wheel of a blue 2013 Hyundai Elantra, allegedly followed the victim for four miles, until she pulled over at the Pleasantville Toll Plaza.<\/p>\n Troopers identified him as a suspect “through various investigative means” and took him into custody at his Toms River home, according to investigators.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Because cops all drive Hyundais. The article calls him an “Army veteran” but he only lasted four months in the Army, he washed out of USMC basic training and he lasted less than a year in the Navy;<\/p>\n \u201cI didn\u2019t want to do it anymore,\u201d he said. \u201cSome guys played a prank on me, locked me in a hold in a minesweeper. I said, \u2018(Expletive) this. I want out.\u2019\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n His uncle, an Army colonel, is the fellow who busted him 4 years ago.<\/p>\n Daniel Otchy called his nephew a troubled man who has been in and out of the military all of his adult life and has a need to seek affirmation.<\/p>\n \u201cI have always tried to support my nephew,\u201d he said, \u201cbut what he\u2019s done here is just not right.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Yeah, well, this is why the post about you is never coming down, Ang.
