<\/a><\/center><\/p>\nOver two years ago, we busted out Leo Maloney<\/a> who writes books about the stuff that appears in his head. He tried to tell the world that he was recruited out of basic training for some clandestine agency of the government. His records show that he had about 6 weeks of active duty in 1966 and that he had demonstrated such skill in that short period that the government had other plans for him. We called BS, looking at his records, it looks as if he was either separated for medical reasons or discipline problems;<\/p>\n But he still thinks that his abbreviated military career proves somehow, that he really was a secret squirrel. He even emailed me a few times claiming that because I went to basic training, I knew how it could be possible. Um, no, there were no CIA recruiters hanging around my basic training company. He still tries to push the story in his bio<\/a>, but at least he quit saying it in public in the media<\/a> – he has a new story for them. <\/p>\n For more than 30 years, people thought Leo J. Maloney had a string of businesses: a classic car brokerage, a promotional company, a limousine company, and a detective agency.<\/p>\n \u201cNobody knew who I [really] was,\u201d said Maloney. \u201cAnd nobody knew what I did.\u201d<\/p>\n According to the 67-year-old Revere native, now of Stoneham, he was \u201ca deep cover black ops contractor for a clandestine government agency.\u201d (He is not willing to elaborate.)<\/p>\n The businesses were his \u201ccover\u201d as he traveled the world. Even his family did not know his real job, until he left the government agency.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen I told my wife and daughter, they said \u2018You should write a book,\u2019?\u201d he said. \u201cI kept saying no and then decided to write fiction based on the things I did in my career.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n In other words, he failed at being a soldier, and he failed at another string of businesses in the real world and his excuse is that he was a James Bond. For anyone that is still believing his BS, do you really think that the CIA would want an operative who couldn’t finish basic training – the same training that millions of teenagers have completed?
