Commie-hugging Jane Fonda was in Frederick, Maryland<\/a> recently for some sort of appearance at the Weinberg Center for the Arts and she was greeted by about 50 veterans who didn’t like the idea that she was there;<\/p>\n

\u201cWhenever possible I try to sit down with vets and talk with them, because I understand and it makes me sad,\u201d Fonda told a relatively full theater, responding to a submitted question. \u201cIt hurts me and it will to my grave that I made a huge, huge mistake that made a lot of people think I was against the soldiers.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Veterans at the protest don’t care that she claims that she “hurts”. In fact, she has told veterans recently that we should “get a life<\/a>” and forgive her for being a traitor during her trip to North Vietnam. In 2009, she tried to help the failing IVAW with a fundraising event<\/a>. In 2011, she accused veterans of spreading lies<\/a> about her – in spite of photographic evidence to the contrary.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile back in Frederick;<\/p>\n

About 50 veterans, many of whom served in Vietnam, held signs saying \u201cForgive? Maybe. Forget? Never\u201d and waved flags outside the theater for about two hours, occasionally booing people entering the Weinberg Center, including state Sen. Ron Young.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut those people out there … I\u2019m a lightning rod,\u201d Fonda said. \u201cThis famous person goes and does something that looks like I\u2019m against the troops, which wasn\u2019t true, but it looked that way, and I\u2019m a convenient target. So I understand.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, Fonda said she did not regret traveling to North Vietnam, saying her time there was \u201can incredible experience.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe feel what she did was so egregious … (she) really cost lives,\u201d said Mike McGowan, a Marine Corps veteran who served as an infantryman in Vietnam from 1968 to 1969.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Of course, there were stank-ass hippies there supporting her, too, it is Maryland after all;<\/p>\n

At least one person turned out to demonstrate in favor of Fonda, saying the actress\u2019s work as an activist and founder of nonprofits helping women should also be recognized and represented.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like you can\u2019t vilify Jane Fonda but not vilify our government,\u201d said Gabrielle Hash, who stood among veterans holding a handmade poster in support of Fonda.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

What? Moron.<\/p>\n
