I got an email from him last week blasting Shipley. Somehow Don is his new target, probably because I keep getting his websites taken away from him. (Our lawyer is all over him like Oprah on a ham.) Anyway, this was his email:<\/p>\n

Shipley is known in the media for his efforts related to Stolen Valor, exposing military impostors and frauds. He has said the following about fake SEALs, “There are two kinds of phonies. The barroom loudmouth that no one takes very seriously, and the phony that ‘lives that lie.’ Phonies that ‘live the lie’ have mental problems, lead double lives, and only tell you they’re a SEAL for three reasons: To build trust, to gain respect, or to intimidate you. With intimidation, they gain respect in a reverse way. Impersonating a hero, often called a ‘victimless crime,’ from my dealing with these clowns, is anything but victimless. They leave behind them a trail of fear, emotional distress, broken hearts, and drained bank accounts. They are despicable.”
\nDon Shipley has faced criticism for these exposes. Court documents accuse him of encouraging people to pretend they are former SEALS and attribute his zeal to mental issues of Shipley [4] [5] and Don Shipley charges money for this patriotic chore [6] and will only take his investigative pay through PayPal, leading many to question his motives for these investigations and publicity stunt activities. A search of public records of the State of Virginia show that Don Shipley does not hold a private investigator license. [7] [8][9][10]

A few things about this cracked me up. First was that clearly he was citing from a Wikipedia page, which I confirmed is where all this shit about Shipley was posted. I also LOVED, LOVED, LOVED that fact he linked to his own blog, and was quoting Brockbrader, who if you forgot was a fake SEAL, a “psychic warrior” and was incarcerated for child molestation. He accuses all of us of being child molesters when none of us are, but he gleefully cited to this lunatic as proof. <\/p>\n
