{"id":57523,"date":"2015-01-07T11:14:30","date_gmt":"2015-01-07T16:14:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=57523"},"modified":"2015-01-07T09:25:55","modified_gmt":"2015-01-07T14:25:55","slug":"thomas-cueto-jailed-for-false-pts-claims","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=57523","title":{"rendered":"Thomas Cueto; jailed for false PTS claims"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Scotty sends us a link to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wdtv.com\/wdtv.cfm?func=view&#038;section=5-News&#038;item=Vietnam-Vet-Gets-Prison-for-False-Benefit-Claims-20446\">an article<\/a> which reports that Bridgeport, WV&#8217;s Thomas Cueto was sentenced for falsely claiming that he suffered from Post Traumatic Stress from his tour of Vietnam;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The Exponent Telegram reports that 66-year-old Thomas Cueto served 13 months in Vietnam but was never wounded nor did he earn the Bronze Star, the military&#8217;s fourth-highest individual award.<\/p>\n<p>Based on those claims, he received about $503,000 in posttraumatic stress disorder benefits for which he wasn&#8217;t entitled.<\/p>\n<p>U.S. District Judge Irene M. Keeley imposed a 2-year prison term Tuesday.
