A few years ago, a lady named Christine O\u2019Donnell ran for the Senate in Delaware. She ran an, um, interesting campaign.<\/p>\n
She lost.<\/p>\n
One can argue whether or not she was a good candidate. I personally thought she was a poor candidate, ran at best a mediocre campaign, and that a better candidate could have won. But regardless, she managed to parlay that experience \u2013 and the publicity it generated \u2013 into a new gig. She now writes a column for the Washington Times Communities.<\/p>\n
Ms. O\u2019Donnell is quite conservative. She was a Tea Party favorite when she ran for the Senate.<\/p>\n
However, for the past few years she\u2019s been having a bit of trouble with a certain Federal agency. Let\u2019s see \u2013 she\u2019s conservative and writes a column for a conservative publication. Gee, what Federal agency do you think might be giving her a hard time?<\/p>\n
If you guessed the IRS, give yourself a pat on the back. Yeah, the same IRS that has been proven grossly biased against conservatives – giving conservative organizations filing for nonprofit status the \u201cslow-roll\u201d treatment, while expediting the processing of those who are politically liberal and\/or well-connected.<\/p>\n
The IRS has now reportedly frozen Ms. O\u2019Donnell\u2019s bank accounts. In error. For the second time in the last 5 years<\/em><\/a>. And the IRS also reportedly removed $30,000 from her accounts when it froze them – which has yet to be returned<\/span>.<\/p>\n If you or I pulled a stunt like that, it would probably be called \u201ctheft by deception\u201d, fraud, or something similar,\u00a0 We\u2019d almost certainly be on the “hot seat” being grilled by Federal LEOs.<\/p>\n But here, it’s the IRS doing it to a public figure of the opposite political philosophy than the current\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 You know, I can’t help but contrast this incident to stuff I remember from years ago. When employees of a certain past former POTUS pulled similar stunts, it was called \u201cdirty tricks\u201d and an \u201cenemies list\u201d; the press raised hell about it. But today, for the current Administration it seems to be just \u201cbusiness as usual\u201d – and the press doesn\u2019t seem to give a damn.<\/p>\n \u201cMost transparent administration in history\u201d? Well, maybe. If you\u2019re talking most transparently willing to abuse the power of the Federal bureaucracy to retaliate against its political enemies, that is.<\/p>\n And meanwhile from the press we hear . . . nada<\/em>.\u00a0 They seem unable to pull their thumbs out of their keisters and write anything<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"DC clown krewe<\/i><\/a> in charge<\/del>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Administration.\u00a0 So it’s seemingly A-OK.<\/p>\n
