{"id":57324,"date":"2014-12-24T11:48:27","date_gmt":"2014-12-24T16:48:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=57324"},"modified":"2014-12-24T11:48:36","modified_gmt":"2014-12-24T16:48:36","slug":"yeah-were-really-succeeding-in-reigning-in-norkland","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=57324","title":{"rendered":"Yeah, We\u2019re Really Succeeding in Reining In NORKLand"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By now, everyone\u2019s heard the response of the \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">feckless fool \u2018s festival in DC<\/span> \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0current Administration to North Korea\u2019s alleged cyber attack on Sony Pictures.\u00a0 They\u2019ve got to stand up for their most reliable political supporters, I guess.<\/p>\n<p>But just how well has the current\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">clueless DC clown <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thefreedictionary.com\/krewe\">krewe<\/a><\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 handled North Korea\u2019s nuclear program? Based on recent reporting by Bloomberg.com, not so well.<\/p>\n<p>North Korea has pretty much told the world to go pound sand regarding the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty for years. It has continued its nuclear weapons development programs with hardly a break in stride for the last several years.<\/p>\n<p>Just how bad has this administration fumbled this? Well, the low-end estimate is that North Korea will possess enough enriched uranium and\/or weapons-grade plutonium in about 5 years to fabricate 33 nuclear weapons. The high-end estimate? They&#8217;ll have enough material for nearly 80 \u2013 79, to be precise.<\/p>\n<p>Yeah, the NORKS produce some pretty lousy nukes.\u00a0 But while 5 to 10 kT isn&#8217;t exactly the second coming of the Big Bang, it&#8217;s not exactly a firecracker either.<\/p>\n<p>This article <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloombergview.com\/articles\/2014-12-23\/north-koreas-nukes-are-scarier-than-its-hacks\">has more details<\/a>.
