Scotty&#8217;s research skills that he uses to bust phonies aided in the search;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;He has real good computer investigative skills,&#8221; Cerchi said. &#8220;Of course, he has to because he mainly deals with exposing military phonies. He was just thrilled to be able to use those skills for something like this.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOnce Scott got on the case, the man we were searching for started to come to life. It wasn\u2019t just a name on a medal \u2014 Hubert S. Terry \u2014 now it was Sgt. Terry, United States Army, a veteran of World War II, who served in the occupational forces of Japan and then went to Korea where he was killed in action on Sept. 4, 1951.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Scott also informed the searchers that Sgt. Terry was buried in the Marks, Mississippi Cemetery.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe thought we had a trace because we found an application for a military marker that was filled out by an Augustus Terry,\u201d Cerchi said. \u201cHe turned out to be Hubert\u2019s brother, but unfortunately had passed away in 2010.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It&#8217;s a good long story and you should click over and read the rest.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Scotty sent us a link to an article about the journey some medals made from a &hellip; <a title=\"Hubert S.
